MAKE BIDS TO HELP SAN PEDRO'S KIDS
Holy Cross Anglican School "Faces of the Future" Cinco de Mayo Charity Extravaganza announced. All Proceeds to be used for the improvement of the school grounds of Holy Cross Anglican School.
We are pleased to announce that the Holy Cross Anglican School "Faces of the Future" Cinco de Mayo Charity Extravaganza fundraising benefit will take place at Wet Willy's Bar and Grill (located on the Hustler Tours pier), on Saturday May 5th, 2007 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, Belize. This event features musical performances by prominent local bands such as Mangrove Riddums (Latin/Jazz), 20/20 (Rock and Roll) and the Elevation Quartet with special guests (Blues/Country).
In addition to music, a Silent Auction will take place featuring products and services donated by local businesses and individuals. These include an Island Ferry Gold Card (free use of Island Ferry for 1 year), a Banana Beach Resort 7-night hotel package, a Tsunami Skydivers Inc. Parachute Jump & Video package and much more. Bidding on the Silent Auction items will be available at the event, and on the Internet. A Live Auction will also occur on-site featuring items from Wine De Vine, Barefoot Books, Coco Locos, Pirate Pizza, Xiu Li's Chinese Massage and Pasta La Vista among others, with guest auctioneer Sterling Vorus from Island Ferry.
The Holy Cross Anglican School "Faces of the Future" Cinco de Mayo Charity Extravaganza will be an event that no one will want to miss. Bring the whole family and your dancing shoes because the evening will kick off with some of the island's favourite bands rocking the Wet Willy's dock in support of a great cause. Once everyone has had a chance to warm up on the dance floor, they'll be able to make big bids and help the island's kids to have the chance of a better future. Thousands of dollars worth of items will be up for auction all of which have been donated by generous businesses and individuals from the community.
Fun for all the family with 50/50 draws, games, face painting and raffles. Delicious food and ice cold drinks specials will be available all evening.
All proceeds of this event will be directly used to clean up the grounds of Holy Cross Anglican School, and to purchase desperately needed landfill (sand) to create a healthy and happy environment for the students.
